SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICER at Chesterfield

School Security Officer Position #00347 Position ensures the safety, security and welfare of students, faculty, staff and visitors in an assigned location. Must successfully complete entry-level training to be certified as a School Security Officer within 60 days from the date of employment and complete in-service training as required by the State of Virginia and CCPS Security Manager. Must be certified and maintain certification in CPR/AED and First Aid. Employee must maintain appropriate physical standards including agility, physical strength, and stamina in order to respond to emergency situations, restrain and apprehend suspects, lift, and push or pull individuals or objects weighing up to 100 pounds. Required: Be 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Minimum of one year experience in security/law enforcement, 16 hours of basic security officer training, or Certified as a School Security Officer in Virginia. Position is open until filled.
