Essential Job Functions

This position acts as the subject matter expert on the usage of BW by the finance community, and as the major coordination point between the technical IT staff supporting the system and business users of the system.High priority skills and experience include:

• Proven successful experience using SAP Business Warehouse on top of SAP ERP systems for a large, complex Global Enterprise systems for a large, complex global enterprise
• Proven deep knowledge of best business practices and state-of-the industry technical knowledge of data warehousing
• Thorough understanding of SAP ECC and BW data structures, preferably gained through systematic formal training

• Performs highly complex financial analyses including budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling; develops and implements capitalization methods, and reviews journal entries to meet business needs. Monitors expenditures for service or performance contracts and recommends appropriate course of action when issues are identified.
  
• Collects budget, quarterly and midyear forecasts and other financial information; interprets, summarizes, and uploads forecast information to financial systems to provide information about profit and loss. Provides budget assistance to multiple projects or large programs; assesses circumstances and recommends appropriate course of action.
  
• Analyzes budget, midyear forecast and other financial information and prepares presentations with recommendations to senior client management, senior company management and corporate office; communicates with client, management and the corporate office regarding financial issues.
  
• Develops financial controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract/program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements. Identifies additional requirements or necessary changes and develops and implements appropriate course of action.
  
• Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
  
• Forecasts accurate and timely cash flow projections, sales projections, budget projections, and expense projections to ensure that business needs are met.
  
• Assists department managers with the budgeting process by working with department managers through the development process of each budget.
  
• Develops and implements process or procedural changes, including training documentation and presentation to other organizations. Collaborates with other departments and/or client in special projects as required.
  
• Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  
• Bachelors degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field preferred
  
• Ten or more years of finance or accounting experience
  
• Experience working with accounting principles and accounting software and databases
  
• Experience working with financial analysis
