Job Description

Responsible for evaluating and treating a wide variety of clinical conditions presenting to the Surgery Practice under the direction and supervision of a licensed physician. Carries out or assists physician with diagnostic and treatment procedures. Supervises other clinical assistants. Job Description: Assist the physician in surgery at the hospital and outpatient surgical centers, as well as in-office procedures. Ensures all special equipment, instruments, etc. are available prior to surgery. Answerspatient questions from patients regarding their surgery and gives post-operative instructions. Follows up on al labs and diagnostic studies and patient concerns in a timely manner. Sees and confirms that all hospital records are complete. Experience: One year of patient care experience required. Education: Must have graduated from an accredited Physician Assistant program with current VA licensure Current certification through the NCCPA
