We are currently seeking a highly qualified Associate Communications Specialist to join our Corporate Communications department in Richmond, VA.The tobacco industry offers a challenging communications environment that will grow and test the skills of a communications professional. We are seeking someone who is interested in being part of a fast-paced group that responsibly addresses and manages issues on a national stage.Specific accountabilities include:

Supporting all elements of the companys Corporate Communications department including media relations, social media, internal communications, corporate advertising and web site content development

Interacting with executives across a variety of departments ranging from Marketing and Government Affairs to Investor Relations and Corporate Responsibility

Qualifications include:

A Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism or related field

Minimum of one year of related communications experience

Strong verbal and written communications skills

Experience with advertising development Strong planning and organizational skills
