Training Coordinator

This is a key Training Support coordination and administrative position at the Communication Training Center located at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The Training Coordinator directly supports and takes direction from the CTC-3 Government Regional Director for all aspects of daily work. Responsible for demonstrating and promoting superior quality and service to customers (both internal and external) through ProSols core values: Speed, Integrity, Excellence, Reliability, and Long-term Commitment.
Provide Training Coordination and Administrative Support:
  • Responsible for all weekly, monthly, quarterly, and adhoc reports  as required.
  • Maintain and disseminate the Training Schedule for the Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF).
  • Work as the principal advisor to the Director of CTC
  • Perform as the main point of contact for all incoming training requests for all commands located within the region.
  • Conduct, monitor, record and administrate Certified Testing for all students testing at CTC-3.
  • Collect, organize, maintain and archive attendance rosters, instructor rating forms (IRFs), and class critiques
  • Maintain and update Training and Administrative Calendars as required by the Director.
  • Coordinate necessary gear, equipment, and classrooms for each course.
  • Act as the primary liaison between contracted and vendor training among all companies used for training at CTC-3.
  • Compile, submit, and ensure the completion of information for special Visitor Requests for visits and training.
  • Administrate the Communication Training Center - 3 website.
  • Coordinate all Quarterly Graduation Ceremonies to include preparing the ceremony and all certificates


  • Knowledge of the Marine Corps rank, dialogue, Staff and Command structures.
  • Strong communications skills and a working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Sr Software Engineer I



Job Description:

Provides development engineering support and programming support to projects and infrastructure support activities.  Designs and develops enterprise applications in a Web environment.  Develops, creates, and modifies general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.  Analyzes user needs and develop software solutions.  Designs software or customize software for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.  May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team. 

Converts project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to detailed logical flow charts for coding into computer language.  Develops and writes computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data and information.  Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.  Develops, codes, tests, and debugs new software or enhancements to existing software.  Performs maintenance on existing software products and contributes knowledge of business applications.  Writes programs according to specifications for functional activities.  Provides technical support in the evaluation of prime object names, data elements, and other objects.  Works with the technical staff to understand problems had with software and then resolve them.  Resolves customer complaints with the software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. Prepares required documentation.

Develops high level and detailed design diagrams using appropriate Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.  Translates detailed design into computer software.  Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to produce the required product.  Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user level documentation.  Enhances software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.

* Design and develop tools for the MS Windows and relevant operating system platforms.

* Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs, such as tracking inventory, storing or retrieving data, or controlling other equipment.
* Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users.
* Investigate whether networks, workstations, the central processing unit of the system, or peripheral equipment are responding to a programs instructions.
 

This position can be a Salary Grade E03 or E04 based upon the candidates qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position

Roaster III

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for roasting high quality coffee to meet the demand of customers of GMCR. This person must also have roasting knowledge, green bean knowledge, communication skills, computer knowledge, and roaster mechanical knowledge and be able to manipulate roasting software to achieve roast profiles. The Roaster is also responsible for ensuring coffee quality, scheduling completion, making sure blends are done correctly and coffee is sent to the correct package areas. Also must ensure the safety of persons around the roaster area and observe and manage emergency situations. The Roaster will also work with Q.C. and other related departments to ensure the coffee quality is up to GMCRs standards as well as implementing new products into the process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Control gas fired roasters to remove moisture from coffee beans.

Have a clear understanding of the origin of the coffee, decaf processes, GMCR Blends, the information from Coffee College, and roasting technology.

Organize and verify roasting schedules, check for waivers and verification and inventory of correct green beans in the bins.

Manage roasting process from selecting profile to scheduling to packaging in order to ensure on time customer delivery.

Program the schedule in computer, calibrate the Agtron, and roast green beans to schedule as well as desired Agtron specification and roasting time.

Set, adjust and observe temperature and time controls for roasting process and to maintain required temperature.

Remove sample to compare color of roasting beans in roaster with color standard to estimate roasting time.

Inspect each roast for GMCR specs, make adjustments as necessary to roast and observe equipment.

Record roast data, Agtons, weights, coffee types and hand loads for People Soft backup.

Continuous observation of the roasters and green delivery systems for mechanical failures and power outages.

Must be able to work in a high level production environment with the ability to understand and operate complex equipment such as PLCs, operating control systems, roasters, blenders and grinders that interfaces with machines.

The ability to stay calm and alert in emergency situations and direct others on procedures to be taken during them.

Enter information into PeopleSoft system and other Roasting systems.

Verify roasters are working and trouble shoot when problems arise with the machines.

Performing weekly ACO (automatic clean out), ensuring the roasters are burned out, inspected and maintained.

Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Know all components of Bill of Materials and the blending operation such as running the blending system.

Adhere to Federal, State, local and GMCR safety policies and procedures.

Ability to adjust roast schedules to meet internal customer needs.

Must be able to perform and understand all functions of the roasting department and process
