Our client is currently seeking a DRUPAL APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER.

 

Job Description

We seek an Application Developer to join a rapidly growing company in Northern Virginia. The ideal candidate is one that has a desire to develop Web applications using open source solutions as well as client-side frameworks/applications. The candidate has experience working with the Drupal content management system and other open source tools as well as experience developing database-driven Web applications, using a variety of tools and languages. Also, the ideal candidate is able to adapt to different responsibilities, wear many different hats, and has a passion for constantly improving.

Application Developer is responsible for the following:

a Develop, test, and debug database-driven Web applications. Install applications into a production environment

a Implement a content management system using Drupal

a Participate in development of user specifications, test script development and debugging

a Participate in technical documentation development

a Participate in code reviews

a Implement automated testing and continuous integration

 

 

Requirements

 

Qualifications

a A Bacheloras degree in Computer Science or related discipline

a 5+ years hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within Java/J2EE environment

a Experience developing web services for applications (SOAP, REST, XML & JSON)

a Experience with Drupal CMS

a Experience in Agile Scrum and development of continuous integration and test driven development

a Strong communication skills

a Database proficiency: MySQL or SQL, Oracle

a Experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, PHP, JSP, .net, Perl, XML, JavaScript, HTML

a PHP is required

a Mobile development experience preferred

Job Requirements

A Bacheloras degree in Computer Science or related discipline. PHP is required

a Mobile development experience preferred. 5+ years hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML).
