Specification Engineer I The Division of Purchases & Supply seeks a specification engineer who provides specification support to contract officers specializing in the handling of complex procurements for services, major equipment, & vehicles & serves as a senior procurement expert. On a state-wide basis, independently provides technical consulting services, specification assistance & training, guidance & recommendations to agency/institution heads & senior management for improving procurement processes. Using highly complex performance measurement & evaluation tools, promotes efficiency & effectiveness through professional consulting in areas of non-technology procurements, e-commerce, e-procurement, contract development & administration. Re-engineers procurement processes to make procurement operations faster, easier & more efficient. Applies technology, including electronic commerce & electronic procurement, to the procurement process to increase efficiency & reduce costs. Pos #P0012.
