GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  Provide professional presentations to close sales over the phone to potential customers seeking automobile insurance from a Fortune 500 Insurance Company.  This is accomplished by gathering pertinent information necessary to offer a quote, thoroughly answering questions and setting proper expectations regarding the product and sales process, responding to customer objections, and closing the sale using the insurance carrier’s rating and issuance systems.

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

• 2+ years of sales experience
  • High school diploma
  • High level of accuracy when completing tasks
  • Proficient PC skills
  • Typing skills of 30+ WPM
  • Track record for achieving sales results
  • Strong communication skills
  • Action oriented, takes initiative and seizes opportunities when they arise
  • Ability to use critical thinking skills to overcome customer objections
  • Proven time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Job Requirements

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

• Handle outbound and inbound phone calls to offer and effectively close auto insurance quotes.
• Manage outbound follow-up calls to qualified prospects.
  • Answer product and company questions regarding auto insurance.
  • Gather all required data necessary to provide an auto quote.
  • Explain the sales process and role of the insurance company’s field agent.
  • Accurately process quote and sale information in systems.
  • Collect payment and bind coverage.
  • Utilize consultative sales techniques and excellent customer service skills on all calls.
  • Escalate customer issues to team management
