Curriculum Developer Development Support at Manassas

Job Description

Performs curriculum development activities working in conjunction with curriculum developers and subject matter experts to create and update existing submarine sonar maintenance and operation courses. Provides curriculum development support functions and performs data entry into established curriculum development databases.

Required Tasks:

1.  Perform curriculum development activities for technical maintenance courses and provide support for curriculum development team

2.  Perform data entry functions using curriculum development software tools

3.  Follow established curriculum development methods and defined development standard and conventions

4.  Interview Subject Matter Experts when required to ensure technical accuracy and completeness of training objectives and materials

 

Job Location:  Manassas, Virginia

 

Position Term: 40 hours/week onsite (duration short term)

 

Start Date: Negotiable

 

Hourly Rate:  Negotiable

Job Requirements

Required skills include:

1. Possess knowledge and understanding of curriculum development processes and methodologies for maintenance related courses

2. Ability to use curriculum development software and data base tools

3. Ability to interpret and convert technical documentation and engineering notes into training language

4. Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, energized, team environment with subject matter experts, curriculum developers, and instructional systems designers

Additional skills (desirable, but not required):

1.  Experience in US Navy AN/BQQ-10 submarine sonar maintenance and operation

2.  Experience using the Navy Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) system

3.  Understanding of MIL-STD design and development including knowledge of the Navy Integrated Learning Environment (ILE) standards

Additional requirements:

1.  Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or two years of related professional experience supporting curriculum development

2.  Candidates must be U.S. citizens able to obtain a Secret level security clearance
