IT Project Manager at Suffolk

Job Description

.TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a IT Project Manager for one of our clients in Suffolk, VA. **Must have an active Secret clearance****This is a Contractual position, 6 months**
Our client provides expertise in the areas of Systems & Software Engineering, Information Assurance (IA), Research & Development, and Program Management. Their administrative professionals bring the best processes encountered from years of experience working with U.S. Government Departments including the Department of Defense, Homeland Security, and Department of Justice. The engineers remain on the cutting-edge of emerging technology and can be deployed to support military facilities around the globe.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate planning and execution of all project activities.
  • Provide competent leadership and responsible direction through successful performance of a variety of detailed, diverse elements of project management to include: managing cost, schedule, and performance through the completion of tasks within estimated timeframes and budget constraints.
  • Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS); identifying, managing, and mitigating risks as appropriate to ensure project success.
  • Schedule and assign duties to subordinate teams, ensure completion of assignments, enforce work standards and review and resolve work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Responsible for the integrity of all work performed, ensuring all deliverables produced are of high quality and delivered on time or ahead of schedule.
  • Build close relationships with stakeholders and strategic industry partners, while managing status of all projects and technical activities, achieving resolution for all problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Work effectively with personnel ranging from senior leadership to highly specialized engineers.
  • Requirements:
  • U. S.Citizen
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • B.S. Degree in Bus Administration, Electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Minimum eight years practical experience in systems engineering with at least four (4) years of U.S. Government acquisition experience and two (2) years supporting a DoD program.
  • Knowledge and experience in Navy Transfer Programs I(relocation efforts) is desirable.
  • Strong personnel management skills and business acumen, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills are required.
