Job Duties:Supervise quality assurance and quality control functionsConduct quality audits of all production processes; communicate and documentConduct regular product / process reviews with written summariesDevelop quality systems with best interests of customer, end user, and manufacturing facility in mindDevelop QA standards, detailed work instructions, production cell layouts and material flow to ensure product qualityEstablish quality and related standards for new product introductionsEstablish significant characteristics and quality standardsWork with Plant Manager to develop fixturing and check gages for key componentsConstantly increase personal knowledge of quality principles and systematically transfer this knowledge to the entire facilityDocument all quality improvement activitySupervise and measure Customer Service activitiesMaintain measurables for product quality and customer complaint activitiesBe proficient with the concepts of project management, Design for Manufacturing [DFM], design for Quality [DFQ], Value Analysis and Value Engineering [VA/VE], Quality Function Deployment [QFD]; working knowledge of Lean principlesOther duties as assigned to this officeSpecial Circumstances of the job:This position requires the ability to not only identify poor quality issues, but analyze and lead the development of corrective and preventative actions. It requires a person who is enthusiastic and tenacious as well as professional and articulate. This person must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to interact with all levels of the organization. Must be able to motivate and direct cross functional teams to a desired result.
