Oracle Developer
An Oracle developer with strong data management skills is needed to play a key role in a small agile development team. The team works closely with its on-site government clients to developweb applications and scripted processes to meet business requirements.While the work entails all aspects of web development in a Java environment using open source Java Technologies, it relies heavily on Oracle database back-ends. Learning and thoroughly understanding the business meanings of the data and relationships will be essential to supporting the teams work. The individual must have excellent people skills and communication skills because they will be working directly with client personnel.
What you will do:
Technical leadership in your area (Oracle, database management), collaborating with a small team
Scripting batch processes for performing database loads, maintenance and monitoring
Requirements development and analysis for new data processes and software applications
Customer facing interaction to determine new, evolving and ongoing needs
Database administration, database design, and security
Server administration
Documentation of knowledge gained about existing databases, their contents, processes, metadata and business rules (for internal reference by team members)
Documentation of new databases, their contents, processes, metadata and business rules(for internal reference by team members)
Server-side programming to assist in web application development utilizing Java and Oracle technologies.
Support for existing applications
Troubleshooting and issue resolution as needed.
What you will need (Qualifications):
Bachelors degree
Ten-plus yearsof IT experience(preferred, but not a rigid requirement)
Oracle expertise and experience
Server-side programming
Expertise in performing server and database administration
Data management experience in a web applications environment.
Very good interpersonal skills, self motivated, communicative, responsible
US citizen or permanent resident; and must have lived in the US for the past 5 years
