Job Description
The Project Control Analyst will be responsible for monitoring cost and schedule performance related analyses. The Project Control Analyst will support the project team in the planning, tracking, analysis, forecasting, and reporting of projects of varying contract type, size, complexity, and level of risk. and/or functional support counterparts to update schedule status and provide management with accurate program status.
- Strong understanding of cost and schedule development and controls. Solid analytical ability with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Activities will include establishing and maintaining cost/schedule baselines, developing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs) and related dictionaries, performing Estimates at Completion (EACs).
- The Project Control Analyst will support to Basis of Estimates (BOEs) development, change management process, work authorization process. Activities will include subcontractor management and accruals, material control, cost collection, monitoring technical performance, preparation of integrated reporting, and implementation of corrective actions.
- The PCA may also assist in the creation, maintenance and tracking of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), as well as importing standalone / independent schedules into the IMS. This position involves significant interaction with the Program Manager, Ops/Line Management, Finance personnel, Contracts personnel, Procurement, senior technical personnel, and various other functional or support organizations.
- The PCA will work independently while contributing to the team through reporting, analyzing, estimating, and auditing.
- Responsibilities will include preparation of written and verbal reports to program team and management regarding program performance.
- Experience obtaining estimates and updates from engineering leads
Job Requirements
- The Project Control Analyst will have a comprehensive knowledge of this field and the ability to complete difficult assignments.
- The Project Control Analyst must have demonstrated ability to effectively perform on large, complex projects.
- Requires an understanding of cost and schedule development and controls.
- Must have ability to analyze problems for root cause and identify corrective actions.
- Must have accurate written and verbal communication skills to carry out and understand assignments, and/or convey or exchange routine information. Must have the ability to work independently and as key member of a team.
- Must possess a strong background working with multiple contract types: Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Fixed Price Incentive (FPI), Fixed Price Level of Effort (FPLOE), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and hybrid contracts. Requires strong excel skills and scheduling experience.
