Specific job functions include the following:
- Bring with or develop trusted customer relationships that allow the Business Developer to understand the customer’s mission, pain points, IT professional services requirements, and solutions required to win business in the customer’s environment.
- Assist in the positioning of AvayaGov IT professional services offerings to key decision-makers within government
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of select customers’ missions, capabilities, business posture and investment strategies
- Help the BD Team establish relationships with industry partners enabling partnering opportunities and teaming strategies on business opportunities in both prime and sub roles.
- Work closely with the senior Avaya Gov BD Team, in developing and managing opportunities, participating and contributing through the duration of the capture cycle
- Work as part of a team to formulate and execute winning pursuit strategies.
- Represent and promote company IT professional service offerings at trade meetings and conferences, including maintaining value-added contact with government officials and government customer representatives
- Assist in creating strategic growth initiatives and strategies for expanding opportunities for AvayaGov
- Conduct business development through customer relationships, lead generation, and qualification for a defined area assignment within the government sector for both DOD and Civilian agencies.
Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and at least ten years of professional experience in IT services
