JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), the Human Resources Coordinator provides general administrative support and assists in the execution of various programs and procedures in support of Human Resources operations. S/he also serves as a liaison for the Human Resources Department by preserving excellent employee relations through the response of employee inquiries in the following areas: company policies and procedures, performance management, coaching, discipline, payroll, and benefits.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborates with the HRBP to administer various Human Resources programs; maintains in-depth understanding of all Human Resources programs.
  • Responds to employee issues and inquiries. Escalates complex employee matters to the HRBP as needed.
  • Coordinates new employee onboarding process, ensuring that employees complete training and paperwork in compliance with federal and state regulations as well as company policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Prepares responses to unemployment claims; providing necessary and relevant information from all sources.
  • Attends unemployment claim hearings and appeals proceedings and provides factual information concerning employment and separation.
  • Actively participates in recruiting; attends job fairs, campus recruiting events, and is activley involved in the recruiting process
  • Conducts thorough exit interviews and analyzes data to provide business-specific feedback to the Human Resources Department.
  • Advises managers concerning the companys discipline process and ensures consistency with company policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Works with HRBP to identify trends that may indicate employee development needs.
  • Provides interpretation of the company discipline process, including conflict resolution and corrective action.
  • Coordinates and monitors FMLA and other leaves of absence; monitors vendor performance.
  • Assists in ongoing audit and improvement of Human Resources processes.
  • Actively participates in strategic HR meetings and projects to make recommendations for effective process improvement.
  • Implements any new, updated or revised processes or HR initiatives, including procedural training and maintenance of documents.
  • Tracks and maintains manual and electronic employee documents, files and records for the purpose of ensuring compliance in recordkeeping as well as providing accurate information through reporting.
  • Compiles and maintains statistical Human Resource reports and automated presentations; creates and maintains database and spreadsheet files.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related discipline or 2 years of non-exempt level HR experience.
  • Must have expereince in recruiting entry and mid-level employees, setting up career fairs, and interviewing candidates
  • Must be proficient in Windows. Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
