Federal Business Development Executive at Herndon

We are currently seeking a Federal Business Development Executive for a full time position in our corporate headquarters office, compensation with 3 tiers: salary+commission+bonus.

Job Location: Herndon, Virginia

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

Researching, targeting, and qualifying business opportunities and leads within the Federal IT services market working with other BD Executives, management and under the supervision of the Chief Business Development Officer.

Specific experience with the Department of Health and Human Services, required

Responsible for qualifying leads, developing capture strategies, call plans, and focused presentations to prospective clients.

Teaming with other businesses for specific opportunities is also part of the process. If opportunities result in RFPs, works closely with proposal development staff to develop responses to RFPs.

Effectively support proposal efforts to win contracts by writing, communicating with other businesses, reviewing RFPs, etc

Job Qualifications (include but not limited to):

10+ years of demonstrated success selling IT services to the Department of Health and Human Services

Demonstrated ability to identify clients, open doors, understand client needs, and obtain insight leading to business

Able to capture business successfully from new and vetted customers

Able to lead and influence others

Experience providing insight and contributing to writing winning proposals and responses to Federal Task Orders, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and Sources Sought

Experience addressing the needs of civilian agencies, specifically the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS),National Institutes of Health (NIH), Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), etc.

Knowledgeable of information technology trends and their application to the Federal Government (e.g., cloud, BI, cyber security)

Able to identify company past performance and past performance of subcontractors to maximize award potential

Strong organizational, problem-solving, listening, and interpersonal skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Ability to work effectively and perform multiple tasks under pressure.

US Citizenship required

Additional Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

Understanding of GovWin, FedBizOpps, etc

Participate in weekly management meetings and other events that are requested or required to attend
