PROCESS ENGINEER Rubber (EPDM)

THE COMPANY

Our client is a leading plastics manufacturer. They are currently searching for a Process Engineer to be located in their southwestern VA facility.

Relocation assistance will be provided.

THE OPPORTUNITY

TheProcess Engineerwill provide technical support in the production of rubber (EPDM) to reduce and eliminate process variation.

This is an ideal opportunity fora Process Engineer with experience in rubber (EPDM) manufacturing. This position will appeal to the process engineer who is seeking a position in a fast-paced environment, and who is looking for an opportunity to have a lasting impact on the efficiency and quality associated with an industry leading production operation.

Essential Job Functions for the Process Engineer:

• Drive continuous improvement of the production process
• Develop and implement programs for improvement the evaluation and improvement of production efficiencies.
• Identify opportunities for elimination of bottlenecks in the process.
• TheProcess Engineerworks with production management to design and implement changes and improvements.
• Plan and supervise trials of new processes and new formulations.
• Support manufacturing in trouble-shooting production problems
• Provide technical support in the specification, installation and commissioning of new process equipment.
• Oversee assigned manufacturing and production projects.

Job Requirements

Must Have the following experience for theProcess Engineer:

• Bachelors Degree: Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
• 3+ years work experience in a rubber manufacturing environment
• Experience in troubleshooting production processes.
