SOC Engineers

TEKsystems has partnered with a Top government Integrator to help build a large Team of Security Operation Center (SOC) Engineers. This diverse team will need Junior Engineers and Senior Engineers. Since this is in direct support of the Department of Homeland Security you must be able to obtain a US Government Clearance.

This position is part of a large team at the EMOC (Enterprise Maintenance Operations Center located in Pentagon City, VA. They run 4 shifts on 7a-7p or 7p-7a schedules, either Sun-Tues + every other Wed OR every other Wed + Thur-Sun and a day shift Mon-Fri. Ideally you will be flexible for any shift, but not expected. Day shift positions are taken according to seniority/performance as they open up (10 or so spots). Junior positions typically start on the day shift. The basic roles of the team include monitoring the security of the network, updating and installing antivirus software, intrusion detection, firewall support and engineering analysis and design as well as security audits. This is a shift where the primary focus is managing tickets around proxy settings, port settings/access, monitoring IDS tools (Sourcefire), and other antivirus/firewall/ids responsibilities. The tickets are managed through a Sharepoint port. You will be changing proxy settings on firewalls (ASA),
changing port access information (IDS/firewall), and pushing antivirus software patches and managing tickets accordingly.

Field Construction Manager

Field Cell Tower Construction Manager

12+ month contract located in Norfolk, VA.

Must have cell tower construction experience!

The overall responsibility of this position will be to manage the construction and engineering quality of wireless site modification projects (both minor and major scope), while also ensuring that contracted field personnel are performing work at or above client mandated standards.  When necessary, you will assist in developing and communicating construction standards to civil and OEM vendors, coordinate cross functional troubleshooting teams, and drive cell site performance issues to resolution.

This position will require the Manager to develop and implement a construction punch walk template and a pass/fail grading rubric to uniformly evaluate like construction scope.  Additional responsibilities include assigning and managing RF troubleshooting resources as needed to resolve project driven performance issues and tracking the resolution of punch walk and troubleshooting issues and develop a method of frequently reporting on their status.

The perfect candidate will have at least 5 years of field construction experience in wireless RAN, proven ability to manage and balance multiple simultaneous construction field projects, a strong understanding of Ericson UMTS/LTE equipment, and demonstrated success in troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.  Advanced understanding and experience with various cell site components and the steps necessary to isolate issues within them (jumpers, N/DIN connections, diplexers/duplexers, sectorized/omni antennas, surge arrestors, multiplexers, etc.) is also key to your success in this role.
