The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Senior Technical Manager for our Technology and Network Operations Division. Essential Job Functions:
This position is responsible for the management of a team of engineers supporting various commercial software products in the network management space. This includes fault management systems, performance management systems, and their associated infrastructure. Specifically IBMs Netcool product and Computer Associates Spectrum are core competencies of this position, as well as the JDSU NetOptimize and NetAnalyst suites. Reporting to upper management and tactical decision-making are critical components of this position. Excellent communication skills as well as a deep technical background are to be expected.

Job Requirements:

3-5 years in software administration / engineering in a large enterprise network environment.
3-5 years of experience in network management, including SNMP and similar protocols.
Previous management experience in teams between 5 and 10 engineers.
Experience in managing budget and spend rates between $500,000 and $1,000,000

Preferred Qualifications:Experience in the following:

Significant Unix / Linux experience
Experience with SNMP, both polling and trap based.

Strong familiarity with a Unix / Linux environment, including Redhat.
Familiarity with multiple network management systems, ideally Netcool or Spectrum. Some experience in HP Openview or other similar platforms may be acceptable.
Management of teams of engineers between 5 and 10, with various skillsets.
Multiple application domain management, comfort with juggling multiple projects at one time.

Education
Bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
Travel Requirements:
Travel 10%
