Senior Project Manager

Client seeks to bring on a full time resource on a 3 month contract-to-hire term. Compensation will be based on experience. The ideal candidate has hands-on SDLC management experience and is fairly technical. Should be able to facilitate User Acceptance Testing.

SummaryResponsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific technology projects to ensure consistency with organizational strategy, commitments, and goals.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensures all projects are well managed, documented and complete
  • Accountable for  project scope, schedule and budget management
  • Works with users and peers in planning, developing, implementing, and supporting new or existing applications.  Analyzes, documents and re-engineers business processes
  • Collects and defines requirements, translates into functional design documents and participates in the technical design, test planning and user documentation processes
  • Develops project schedules and leads a team of technical resources to deliver on requirements
  • Identifies resource needs and helps staff teams accordingly
  • Manages risks and issues to minimizes impacts on the projects and portfolio
  • Ensures projects reporting and regular communication to the project leadership, customer, sponsor and IT leadership
  • Participates in software design, prototyping, construction and testing of new or enhanced applications
  • Assists in training users on new or enhanced applications
  • Works with business teams to create test documentation (test plans, test cases, and test scripts) and manage the execution of user acceptance testing.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS 
  •  Minimum 8 years of experience in the following areas:
-  Project management leading cross-functional teams-  Gathering and documenting user requirements-  Personnel management and/or relationship management-  Project lifecycle software development-  Facilitation user acceptance testing
  • Ability to set direction, manage expectations and lead cross-functional teams that are geographically dispersed
  • Ability to influence and coordinate third parties and suppliers
  • Excellent problem solving skills, communication, adaptability, and ability to manage multiple requests/projects
  • A strong commitment to customer service
  • Demonstrated experience in incorporating new technologies in a business environment
EDUCATION                                     
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Systems or closely related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience; or PMP Certification or Business Systems Analysis certification (CSBA) is preferred.
