Responsibilities:If you are an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong leadership capabilities and you are looking for a rewarding new career direction, join our cutting-edge team at CapTech! We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to manage and drive information system design projects throughout the software development life cycle from initial analysis and design all the way through to implementation and user acceptance. You will also serve as a liaison between various team members and client stakeholders, and must be able to clearly and concisely communicate and interpret technical information to a broad range of people of varying levels of technical expertise. Job Responsibilities:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will utilize your expertise with information systems and development methodologies such as SDLC, Waterfall, RUP and/or Agile in order to guide information systems through the development cycle while adhering to all functional and business-system requirements as specified by the client.Your specific duties as a Business Systems Analyst will include:
  • Creating, configuring, customizing and maintain requirements for a single complex or multiple smaller projects using an appropriate supporting toolset
  • Interviewing clients to determine project specs and eliciting requirements using a standard SDLC methodology
  • Authoring and publishing quality documentation covering all functional and business-system requirements
  • Preparing use case for each project that documents process loads, different process paths and system applications
  • Serving as liaison between various team members, including Developers, the Project Manager, the Quality Assurance team and the client
  • Validating the results of the testing process
  • Utilizing root cause analysis in order to determine effective solutions to development issues
  • Engaging in change control in order to prevent project “scope creep”
  • Providing status reports on projects and deliverables
  • Coordinating and assisting in system and user acceptance testing
  • Acting as technical lead in translating business requirements into technical specifications
  • Employ object-oriented analysis and modeling techniques to analyze alternate options for technical problems and develop a "to-be" state from an “as-is" state

Qualifications:As a Business Systems Analyst, you must have strong leadership and motivational skills to creatively and efficiently assist in driving development. You must also be engaged in the development process and able to easily understand proposed technologies and solutions, investigating and researching when necessary. It is also vital for your role as a Business Systems Analyst that you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and that you can convey complex information in a clear and concise manner to team members as well as individuals at all levels of the client’s organization. You should also have a work style that is more process-oriented than task-oriented. Specific qualifications for the Business Systems Analyst position include:
  • IIBA certification; PMP or Cap M certifications a plus
  • 3 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst; Prior consulting experience a plus
  • Experience with and working knowledge of process modeling, use-case development, cause-and-effect diagrams, Custom Off Shelf (COS) systems, SharePoint, process maps and interface specifications
  • Proven experience with SDLC (Waterfall) and/or Agile methodologies; RUP and Six Sigma a plus
  • Experience with and working knowledge of Java, .NET, C#, SQL and XML a plus
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as change control and defect tracking software
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
  • Ability to work at client sites
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
