Product/Process/Quality Analyst



We are seeking a Product/Process quality assurance analyst for our client in Reston, VA.

THIS IS NOT A TESTING OPPORTUNITY

Candidates need experience in:
- Working in Quality and experience with CMMI, This is a QA role not a facilitator position
- Someone with experience in business process design and development
- Experience in Metrics Management, Control plans and Root cause analysis.

Primary Responsibilities include:
Provide Quality Assurance support for the assigned functional areas:
Support assigned functional teams in implementing Internal Corrective Action process, facilitate Root Cause Analysis and participate in identification of issue containment activities.
Provide Quality support to new Projects by collaborating with other quality teams (Quality Control, Vendor Quality), Project Planning team and Business Process Owners. Create Quality Plan in support of the project focusing on impacts and Quality Controls.
Provide Documentation support to assigned functional areas by facilitating brainstorming sessions to define a process, document the critical business processes and ensure the right controls are included in the process.
Provide Metrics Management support by facilitating identification of key metrics for critical business processes, create metrics package aligning to QMS requirements and templates. Participate in metrics analysis sessions, provide feedback on metrics reported and help identify corrective and preventive actions.
Provide Quality Support in Process Improvement initiatives and transformational projects undertaken by business process owners.
Support implementation of controls and requirements established by Quality Management System.
Collaborate with Quality Control team in proactively identifying checks and validations for datafeeds/business processes/vendor processes.
Collaborate with Vendor Quality to ensure effective involvement/implementation of Quality tasks. Work closely with external operations vendors to ensure internal and external inter-vendor data flows are properly executed and appropriate data quality controls are developed and maintained.
Support functional teams in creation Reports/templates/formats by effectively using Quality Tools/techniques/methodologies.
Review functional team deliverables/outputs such as process documents, publications, requirements etc.
Support functional teams and quality team in identification and management of risks and provide mitigation and contingency support

Related Skills & Other Requirements
5+ years experience in Process and Product Quality Assurance
Strong Quality principles and standards
Flexibility and desire to quickly adapt to new methods, situations, and various requirements
Working knowledge of project planning and tracking and other project management methodology tools
Excellent group facilitation skills
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem solving ability
Fluent in use of a various Problem Solving Tools & Techniques (5-Why; Affinity Diagrams; Cause & Effects Analysis; PDCA; DMAIC; etc) including Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Understanding and working knowledge of Software Life Cycle
Understanding or working knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle
Knowledge of ISO standards: Capable of internal audits and assessments.
Excellent communication (writing, speaking, presentation), Strong interpersonal skills

Educational Qualification
B.S. degree or equivalent in engineering or computer science or operations research is preferred.
