Compensation: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year

A well established general contracting firm showing signs of yet another profitable year is seeking a Financial Controller. The job responsibilities will include:Accomplishes accounting requirements by designing and maintaining accounting processes, including journal entries and general ledger, payroll, billing, collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; supervising bank reconciliation and closing processes; supporting annual budget process; developing and maintaining forecasts and models; ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP); Establishes financial condition by preparing quarterly and annual balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and consolidated statements, and supporting schedules; comparing actual results to budget projections; developing summaries and interpretations. Improves financial condition by analyzing financial reports and variances; revising accounting policies and practices and internal control procedures. Supervise and assist accounting staff to ensure accounts payable and payroll transactions are recorded timely and payments are made in accordance with contractual terms. Assist Project Management Staff in preparing monthly Budget/Cost Analysis and Owner billings with related backup Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging accounting practices; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies. Become proficient in eCMS Accounting/Project Management Software and assist other employees in its use and implementation.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements: At least 5-7 years related experience within the construction/homebuilding/real estate development fields.
