Job Description:
- Proficiency measured primarily by installation trouble tickets work/completed and handling calls, as well as quality based metrics for the team
- Requires a well rounded knowledge of networking concepts, networking implementation, and software concepts and use.
- Required in the testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities
- Assists in the rapid assessment of both the nature and severity of customer problems and initiates calls to various support organizations as needed
- Manage the installation and remote troubleshooting of Linux servers and various manufacturers of switching and routing equipment
- Manage personal phone queue and handle multiple forms of electronic communication related to the project
- Maintains documentation of daily operations
- Install and test commercial networks
- Effectively communicate with clients and various levels of management
- Provide and document consistent accurate and detailed analysis of issues for each installation
- Assists in the collection of customer requested data such as traffic reports
- This position may be responsible for contributing to client compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function
- Experience with subnetting and be able to segment IPs into smaller groupings.
- Candidate will be expected to provide and , accurate and detailed analysis of issues for each installation Network Operations Center (NOC) Analysts to work in a 7x24 network operations center.
- Network Management scope of services includes Tier 2 incident and problem management for various highly customized, high-touch enterprise client networks with strict SLAs.
- Technologies monitored and managed include routers, switches, load balancers, WAPs, WAN accelerators, DNS, DHCP, and Content Servers.
- Assignment requires that the analyst be able to dynamically multi-task on diverse issues and work with customers in a fast pace environment
- Engage and interface with equipment and transport service vendors who support network operations
- Interface with client by responding to client requests and notifying them of network problems and the impact on customers business.
- Candidate will work in a live call environment and ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot and document client troubles till resolution.
